Congratulations to the NEHTA award winners who received their awards at the recent Northeast Regional Social Studies conference in Hartford.  Dr. Manisha Sinha from the University of Connecticut was awarded the university level Kidger Award.  Jon Willson, who teaches at the Taft School in Watertown, CT, was awarded the secondary level Kidger Award.  Kristen Borges from the Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School in South Hamilton, MA was award the Hicks-Kennedy award for outstanding service to NEHTA and the social studies profession.

On Saturday, October 20 NEHTA will be sponsoring a full-day conference on World War I and its aftermath.  The conference will be held at Sturbridge Village.  An outstanding group of speakers and workshops will be present.  More details forthcoming.
